Chopta, very simply put, is a trekker's cum explorer's heaven. If you aren't an adrenaline junkie but are inclined towards pushing your limits, visit the valley of Chopta for a life-altering experience and expand the boundaries of your physical horizon.

Chopta is possibly the only valley town in Uttarakhand, that has minor human alteration, and is a good place for intermediate trekkers to brush up on their skills while exploring locally renowned tourist spots, like the Tungnath Temple and the Deoria Tal, which are both accessible after a well-guided trek. Talking about the rare opportunities that Chopta offers, what cannot be missed is the Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary, which attracts wildlife enthusiasts who are into exploring rare Himalayan animal species.

Chopta slopes on softly, among alpine and grassy meadows, and in this valley of abstract but absolute natural beauty, one does actually stand at any hilltop and spin around as a practice of spotting the multitude of peaks visible.

What you will do

Day 0: Delhi To Chopta | 420 km

Depart from Delhi | Reporting time - 8:30 pm

Day 1: Arrive at Chopta | Acclimatization Day

Arrive at Chopta and check in to the camps. Rest for a while after the long journey.
After lunch get ready to explore the enchanting meadows of Chopta.
In the evening enjoy a bonfire on a cold starry night followed by dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 2: Trek To Tungnath & Chandrashila Summit

After breakfast, head towards Chopta and start the trek. The 5 km trek runs on a well-defined concrete-bound trail from Chopta to Tungnath temple {the highest Shiva temple in the world}.
At the end of a steep climb, we will reach Chandrashila summit reached two soak in a 360-degree view of the notable peaks in this panorama of grandeur.
Trek down to Chopta and reach campsite and rest for a while
Enjoy a bonfire with some chai and snacks followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3: Trek To Deorital & Back | Departure

After breakfast checkout from the camp and drive towards Sari village which is about 30 minutes from the campsite. FromSari village starts the trek. It's a 3 km of easy trek which takes around hours.
After reaching Deorital Lake enjoy the magnificent views of Chaukhamba peaks.
Trek down to Sari village and depart for Delhi.
Reach Delhi the next day by early morning.

Important COVID-19 Guidelines

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, everyone will be tested for body temperature daily.
Please maintain sufficient distance while using the common area
Always sanitize your hands before using any common area amenities
Regular sanitization of the property will be done at regular intervals to ensure safety and hygiene.
Keep wearing your mask while traveling nearby.

Property Rules

Confirmation of all the bookings will be done on 100% payment.
No boarding without valid govt. approved ID.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reason. Guest are advised to seek such Insurance in advance.
Factors such as weather, road conditions, physical abilities of the participants, etc. may dictate itinerary change. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort, and general well-being.
We do not allow smoking during travel on the bus. Travel Devils reserve the right to discontinue your trip at any point on the grounds of misconduct and no refund will be made under such circumstances.
Departure time is fixed as given and it's on you to update your status to the trip coordinator. The trip coordinator will also try to call you at least thrice but Travel Devils are not responsible for calls not getting connected.
The person making reservations is responsible for any damages caused to room/camp furnishings and fixtures and is liable to pay for the same.
Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost, or guide charges by the Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
In the Hilly Terrain, it will be the discretion of the driver to put off the systems of the vehicle like the air conditioner, sound system. The focus will always be on safety.
In case of any injuries/illness during the trip/activity, Travel Devils as a Tour operator or any of our local staff will not be responsible.
It is understood that any expenses (e.g. hotels, meals, transport, telephone calls, repairing of vehicle, etc) relating to the unscheduled extensions like natural calamity, break down of the vehicle, any other delays which are beyond our control will be borne by the passengers and no refund will be given in any such scenario.
All the sightseeing is strictly subjected to weather conditions and guidelines issued by the government or local authorities.
During Covid-19, all the rules and regulations will be followed as defined by the state govt. Any extra cost in following such rules like isolation/quarantine or admission in hospital for illness during the trip or any transport cost or treatment to follow isolations rules will be borne by the customer.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation initiated before 10 days from travel date: 50% of the advance would be refunded.
Cancellation initiated before 5-10 days from travel date: 25% of the advance would be refunded.
Cancellation initiated less than 5 days from travel date: non-refundable.
There is no refund for no-shows.
No refund for early check-outs.
Any meal, activity, or service not availed by the guest will not be adjusted in the package cost and will not be refunded at any cost.

Note: Due to the grave financial crisis in the travel industry caused by the pandemic and the countrywide lockdown, we have imposed stricter policies on Trip cancellations due to Political unrest or State Govt. guidelines or extremely poor weather, or unsafe river or environmental conditions. We will be providing a full credit but no refund in such circumstances. You will be able to use the credit amount (equal to the booking amount) for any future booking with Travel Devils.
