Auli the land of Kinnaur is located in the lap of the Dhauladhar and Zanskar ranges. The mighty Sutlej and Baspa rivers flow through its rugged terrain. Kinnaur, known as "Dev Bhoomi (Land of Gods)" is about 235 km from Shimla and is known for its serenity and beauty of the lush green and rocky mountainscape.

The lower part of the Kinnaur valley covers Kalpa, Sangla valley, and Chitkul having breathtaking views. Traveling to this region is indeed a delightful experience. Situated on the banks of the Baspa river, Sangla valley (at an altitude of 2696 m) is also known as Baspa valley. You may have had a glimpse of its gorgeous meadows in movies and ads. However, nothing can beat the experience of actually breathing in the crisp air and stunning sights of forest slopes and mountain ranges, with the Raldang peaks offering a gigantic backdrop.

Nearly 28 km from Sangla valley, at an altitude of 3450 m, lies the last inhabited place in India before the Indo-Tibet border. hike village is the last Indian village and is a paradise for trekkers and nature lovers, alike.

To witness the most spectacular sunrise, head to Kalpa, situated at an altitude of 2960 m, less than 60 km from Sangla valley. Given its strategic location close to the foot of the 6050 m high Kinner Kailash (the legendary winter home of Lord Shiva) everything about this erstwhile haunt of Lord Dalhousie is simply majestic.

What you will do


Day 0: Departure from Delhi in the Evening

  • Departure from Keshav Puram metro station, Delhi | Reporting time: 6:00 pm in the evening

Day 1: Arrival at Sarahan | Exploration

  • Reach Sarahan and check in to our room. Freshen up and visit the famous temple of Bhaimakali at Sarahan. This is the same temple in which human sacrifices were made about two centuries ago and then visit the mountain bird sanctuary in Sarahan.
  • Experience the bliss of this peaceful village and admire nature.
  • In the evening enjoy the bonfire with some light music followed by dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Reach Sangla Valley | Chitkul Exploration

  • Start our morning with breakfast, checkout from the hotel, and proceed towards Sangla valley (3-4 hours).
  • After lunch, leave for an excursion to Chitkul, the last village on an old Indo-Tibetan trade route.
  • Walk through the green orchards and enjoy the serenity as a brilliant stream passes by.
  • As the day ends, return to the hotel in Sangla/Chitkul for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Reach Kalpa | Exploration

  • After early morning breakfast, explore the ancient Kamru Fort and Temple which is dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam.
  • Later, move towards Kalpa, 2670 m above the sea level, (2-3 hour journey) and on the way explore the city of Reckong Peo, the lifeline of Kinnaur district.
  • By the side of Kalpa is a 79 ft high rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes its colour as the day passes. Afterward visit the Buddhist Gompa, Hu Bu Lan Kar.
  • Explore the nearby place and admire the magnificent view of the Kinner Kailash range from Kalpa. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Visit Suicide Point | Departure

  • After breakfast checkout and move towards suicide point, around 3 km away from the Kalpa village, this spot is so heavenly that the people forget about the dangerous trench for a while. For an adventure lover, this is one of the many places to visit in Kinnaur that deserves a mention in your diary.
  • Later depart for Delhi.
  • Reach Delhi by the next day in the morning.

Property Rules


  • Confirmation of all the bookings will be done on 100% payment.
  • No boarding without valid govt. approved ID.
  • We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reason. Guest are advised to seek such Insurance in advance.
  • Factors such as weather, road conditions, physical abilities of the participants, etc. may dictate itinerary change. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort, and general well-being.
  • We do not allow smoking during travel on the bus. Travel Devils reserve the right to discontinue your trip at any point on the grounds of misconduct and no refund will be made under such circumstances.
  • Departure time is fixed as given and it's on you to update your status to the trip coordinator. The trip coordinator will also try to call you at least thrice but Travel Devils are not responsible for calls not getting connected.
  • The person making reservations is responsible for any damages caused to room/camp furnishings and fixtures and is liable to pay for the same.
  • Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost, or guide charges by the Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
  • In the Hilly Terrain, it will be the discretion of the driver to put off the systems of the vehicle like the air conditioner, sound system. The focus will always be on safety.
  • In case of any injuries/illness during the trip/activity, Travel Devils as a Tour operator or any of our local staff will not be responsible.
  • It is understood that any expenses (e.g. hotels, meals, transport, telephone calls, repairing of vehicle, etc) relating to the unscheduled extensions like natural calamity, break down of the vehicle, any other delays which are beyond our control will be borne by the passengers and no refund will be given in any such scenario.
  • All the sightseeing is strictly subjected to weather conditions and guidelines issued by the government or local authorities.
  • During Covid-19, all the rules and regulations will be followed as defined by the state govt. Any extra cost in following such rules like isolation/quarantine or admission in hospital for illness during the trip or any transport cost or treatment to follow isolations rules will be borne by the customer.


Cancellation Policy


  • Cancellation initiated before 10 days from travel date: 50% of the advance would be refunded.
  • Cancellation initiated before 5-10 days from travel date: 25% of the advance would be refunded.
  • Cancellation initiated less than 5 days from travel date: non-refundable.
  • There is no refund for no-shows.
  • No refund for early check-outs.
  • Any meal, activity, or service not availed by the guest will not be adjusted in the package cost and will not be refunded at any cost.

Note: Due to the grave financial crisis in the travel industry caused by the pandemic and the countrywide lockdown, we have imposed stricter policies on Trip cancellations due to Political unrest or State Govt. guidelines or extremely poor weather, or unsafe river or environmental conditions. We will be providing a full credit but no refund in such circumstances. You will be able to use the credit amount (equal to the booking amount) for any future booking with Travel Devils.

What precautions are taken to ensure the safety of the group from COVID exposure?

The trips leader, commute partners and our hosts are taking all the required measure to the safety of the travellers from sanitising the stays and vehicles regularly to doing the regular temperature checks of the staff.

How is the quality of food and what type of food are we going to get?

The food served during the trip is delicious home cooked 100% vegetarian (Non-veg available on extra charges)

Can I cancel my trip?

What type of accommodation will be provided if I’m travelling solo?

It completely depend on what type of accommodation you are choosing while making the booking (double occupancy, triple, quadruple, etc.) You’ll be sharing the room/camp with your fellow travellers.

Our trips usually have an intense trekking included so it is is advised to not to bring any ward with you on the trips.
