The City of Lakes, Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure water lakes, hemmed in by the lush hills of Aravallis. A vision in white drenched in romance and beauty, Udaipur is a fascinating blend of sights, sounds, and experiences - an inspiration for the imagination of the poets, painters, and writers. It's a kaleidoscope of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples, gardens, and narrow lanes are strewn with stalls that carry the flavor of heroic past, epitomizing valor, and chivalry.

Udaipur is a popular tourist destination in India. The lakes, palaces, and lively workspaces, and culture attract foreign and domestic visitors. Udaipur has three interconnected lakes - the Fateh Sagar Lake, the Lake Pichola, and the smaller Swaroop Sagar Lake; along with forts, palaces, temples, gardens, mountains, and narrow lanes lines withdrawn with stalls, relives the reminisces of a heroic past, valor, and chivalry.

The fort that has made its mark in history as the second largest wall after the Great Wall of China - is none other than the Kumbhalgarh Fort in Rajasthan. The mighty fort is 3600ft tall and 38km long that surrounds the area of Udaipur. It was considered to have been built by Rana Kumbha in the 15th century. The fort is further declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is under the group Hill Forts of Rajasthan. It is located strategically on the western Aravalli Hills.

What you will do

Day 0: Departure from Delhi in the evening

  • Departure from Delhi | Reporting Time: 6:00 pm

Day 1: Arrival in Udaipur | The City of Lakes Exploration

  • Arrive at Udaipur in the morning & Check-in at the hotel. We will rest for a while and proceed to visit the City Palace.
  • The City Palace in Udaipur was built in a flamboyant style and considered the largest of its type. It was built atop a hill, in a fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles, providing a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings.
  • Then we proceed towards Pichola lake to have a blissful time while boating.
  • After Pichola lake, (You can visit Jagdish temple if you want to) we come back to the hotel and have dinner.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh Fort & Haldighati

  • After breakfast, we fashion up to visit the Kumbhalgarh fort. Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar fortress on the westerly range of Aravalli hills, near Udaipur. It is a World Heritage Site included in the Hill Forts of Rajasthan.
  • Built during the course of the 15h century by Rana Kumbha. With the walls of the fort extending over 38km, it is claimed to be the second-longest continuous wall after the Great Wall of China; the fort is among the largest fort complexes in the world and the second-largest fort in India after Chittor Fort.
  • After Kumbhalgarh Fort, proceed towards Haldighati Battleground.
  • After having a relishing time, move back towards the hotel, have our dinner, and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Visit Bharshangarh Waterfall & Village

  • After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and proceed towards Sajjangarh fort (The palace offers a panoramic view of the city's lakes, palaces, and surrounding countryside). It was built chiefly to watch the monsoon clouds; hence, appropriately, it is popularly known as Monsoon Palace.
  • After Sajjangarh fort, we move towards Fateh Sagar Lake, constructed north-west of Udaipur, to the north of Lake Pichola in the 1680s.
  • After Fateh Sagar, we visit Sahelio ki bari and Lok Kala Mandal.
  • Explore the market and depart for Delhi by evening.
  • Reach Delhi in the morning the next day.

Important COVID-19 Guidelines

  • Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, everyone will be tested for body temperature daily.
  • Please maintain sufficient distance while using the common area
  • Always sanitize your hands before using any common area amenities
  • Regular sanitization of the property will be done at regular intervals to ensure safety and hygiene.
  • Keep wearing your mask while traveling nearby.

Property Rules

  • Confirmation of all the bookings will be done on 100% payment.
  • No boarding without valid govt. approved ID.
  • We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reason. Guest are advised to seek such Insurance in advance.
  • Factors such as weather, road conditions, physical abilities of the participants, etc. may dictate itinerary change. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort, and general well-being.
  • We do not allow smoking during travel on the bus. Travel Devils reserve the right to discontinue your trip at any point on the grounds of misconduct and no refund will be made under such circumstances.
  • Departure time is fixed as given and it's on you to update your status to the trip coordinator. The trip coordinator will also try to call you at least thrice but Travel Devils are not responsible for calls not getting connected.
  • The person making reservations is responsible for any damages caused to room/camp furnishings and fixtures and is liable to pay for the same.
  • Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost, or guide charges by the Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.
  • In the Hilly Terrain, it will be the discretion of the driver to put off the systems of the vehicle like the air conditioner, sound system. The focus will always be on safety.
  • In case of any injuries/illness during the trip/activity, Travel Devils as a Tour operator or any of our local staff will not be responsible.
  • It is understood that any expenses (e.g. hotels, meals, transport, telephone calls, repairing of vehicle, etc) relating to the unscheduled extensions like natural calamity, break down of the vehicle, any other delays which are beyond our control will be borne by the passengers and no refund will be given in any such scenario.
  • All the sightseeing is strictly subjected to weather conditions and guidelines issued by the government or local authorities.
  • During Covid-19, all the rules and regulations will be followed as defined by the state govt. Any extra cost in following such rules like isolation/quarantine or admission in hospital for illness during the trip or any transport cost or treatment to follow isolations rules will be borne by the customer.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation initiated before 10 days from travel date: 50% of the advance would be refunded.
  • Cancellation initiated before 5-10 days from travel date: 25% of the advance would be refunded.
  • Cancellation initiated less than 5 days from travel date: non-refundable.
  • There is no refund for no-shows.
  • No refund for early check-outs.
  • Any meal, activity, or service not availed by the guest will not be adjusted in the package cost and will not be refunded at any cost.

Note: Due to the grave financial crisis in the travel industry caused by the pandemic and the countrywide lockdown, we have imposed stricter policies on Trip cancellations due to Political unrest or State Govt. guidelines or extremely poor weather, or unsafe river or environmental conditions. We will be providing a full credit but no refund in such circumstances. You will be able to use the credit amount (equal to the booking amount) for any future booking with Travel Devils.

Our trips usually have an intense trekking included so it is is advised to not to bring any ward with you on the trips.

Well you can say that any trip is incomplete without a bonfire

Yes, absolutely! As a matter of fact 40% of our groups comprises of solo travellers.

Are these trips couples friendly?

Yes, all our trips are couple friendly and the trips leaders are engaging who will keep engaging the group in ice breaking activities.

What precautions are taken to ensure the safety of the group from COVID exposure?

The trips leader, commute partners and our hosts are taking all the required measure to the safety of the travellers from sanitising the stays and vehicles regularly to doing the regular temperature checks of the staff.

What type of accommodation will be provided if I’m travelling solo?

It completely depend on what type of accommodation you are choosing while making the booking (double occupancy, triple, quadruple, etc.) You’ll be sharing the room/camp with your fellow travellers.
