Easy-Moderate trek level of difficulty can be booked by beginners as well.

What you will do


Day 1: Arrival in Sankri (6400 ft)

  • Arrive in Sankri, which is the starting point of the trek. The distance from Dehradun to Sankri is about 200 km (8 hours of drive).
  • Reach Sankri, the base village of Kedarkantha Trek by 4 PM.
  • The entire trek route mirrors scenic and mesmerizing nature’s trail, especially the end location when we traverse through Govind life sanctuary.
  • Once at Sankri, we will undergo the registration process by 5 PM & attend the briefing for the trek at 6 PM followed by the doling out of items like Rucksack, Gaiters, Microspikes, and Trekking sticks.
  • Overnight at Sankri base camp.

Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Taal | 9,000 feet | 5 hours

  • Post breakfast, we commence for the first campsite Juda Ka Taal from Sankri. 
  • The trek distance & level is 5 Kms &easy all the way to Juda Ka Taal campsite. Spot indigenous woodpeckers on the way.
  • Encounter a larger green meadow on the way, which is generally used as a lunch point for the trekkers. Swargarohini peak can be seen from here. The trek is easy & bundled with amazing views.
  • Overnight stay at Juda Ka Taal.

Day 3: Juda ka Taal to Kedarkantha Base Camp | 11,200 feet | 3 hours

  • The trek from Juda Ka Taal campsite to Kedarkantha base camp is short but we start early to escape the harsh snow.
  • As soon as we start the trek, Juda Ka Tal comes enroute. The lake remains almost frozen at this point of the year. It takes around 3-4 hours to reach Kedarkantha base camp from the lake.
  • At night, the snow-clad mountain peaks shine bright as the moon, and we will clearly see Kedarkantha from the campsite.
  • We doze off early to get ready for the early summit push for the peak.

Day 4:  Kedarkantha Base Camp – Kedarkantha Peak (12,500 Feet) – Hargaon | 8,450 feet | 8 hours

  • We receive a wake-up call at 2:30 AM for the summit push. The trek commences at 4 AM with head torches at a slow-moving pace towards the summit.
  • The trek is moderate as it gets steep at a few points. The way fluorescent sky sparkling with varied colors is one of the spectacles to look for
  • The summit offers some of the most spectacular views of the Yamunotri and Gangotri ranges.
  • At the summit, we will spend some time soaking in the glory & return back to Kedarkantha base camp for Hot Lunch.
  • After a short break, we will continue the descent to the Hargaon campsite which takes almost a couple of hours.

Day 5: Hargaon–Sankri | 6,400 feet | 3 hours

  • The last day of the trek offers easy descent with snow slopes. It usually takes around 3-4 hours to descend from Hargaon to Sankri.
  • We reach Sankri by 1 PM & take departure for Dehradun. Cabs are frequently available for Dehradun from Sankri.

Accommodation:

  • Stay is provided on a triple sharing basis in Alpine Tents & is separate for men and women.
  • Toilet tents are available at all the campsites.

Cloakroom:

  • Participants have the facility for depositing their extra luggage at base camp for all the treks.

Field Experience:

  • Organizing Himalayan Treks for the past 7 years.

Expert trek support team:

  • Treks are led by a team of certified leaders.
  • Leaders to Participant ratio is 8:1 for easy to moderate & for difficult 4:1

  • Personal porter facility is not covered under our inclusions. In case one needs, a prior request has to be made.
  • Any facility not covered under Inclusions head.

Cancellation Policy


●    Cancellation initiated before 0-15 days of the event date is non-refundable.

●    For cancellation initiated within 15 days of booking the Trek, only 2000 INR per pax will be the cancellation charge and the rest will be refunded.
