Five places you must visit in Jaipur during the weekend

Jaipur is a city of forts, royalties and a vibrant colourful market. If you are in Delhi, Jaipur could be the best weekend gateway to witness the beauty of Rajputana’s past and stories tucked in every corner of the street.

Here are five places you should keep in mind while exploring this pink city

1.   Amber Fort

Amber fort was once the residence of its Rajput rulers and was the capital of this pink city, Jaipur. Tell me honestly, how many times you have heard of Amber Fort in Bollywood movies? More recently, in film Jodha Akbar, Jodha was from Amber. Besides all these Bollywood ruffles, this fort is one of the most popular and most visited places in Jaipur.

Visit Timing– 8am to 5:30pm

2.   Jaigarh Fort

This is the most popular destination for film shooting and destination weddings. Other than this, Jaipur Fort is also known for the largest canon on the wheel in the world. If you get enough time from Jaigarh fort, you can roam a little to witness another beauty of Jaipur, Jal Mahal in the middle of Mansagar lake.

Visit timing– 9am to 4:30pm

3.   City palace of Jaipur

This place is a good blend of Rajput and Mughal Architecture. Even if you are not interested in exploring architecture, there are art museums, textile museum, arm and armours museum which reflect the great past of Rajputana. For the foodie in you, don’t forget the infamous Pyaaz kachori of Jaipur with Green Chutney.

Visit Timing- 9am to 4:30pm

4.   Chokhi Dhani

After visiting the entire Jaipur, do you still have craving for a typical Rajasthani experience? Chokhi Dhani is a village themed resort on the outskirt of Jaipur. It provides a village feel with folk dance, puppet show, and authentic Rajasthani food. Overeating and overjoy are guaranteed here

5.   Hawa Mahal

If you want to spam everyone with the beauty of Jaipur, then Hawa Mahal is a perfect place for this. Use any camera and any angle, this place can fulfil all your dreams to have good photographs for your social media. Hawa Mahal is surrounded by an interesting local market. So, don’t forget to grab something memorable from these markets.
