What you will do


Day 1: Arrival in Lohajung | 7,600 ft

  • We will reach Lohajung by 4 PM. A beautiful village in the Uttarkashi district. The entire trek route vibes as scenic and mesmerizing.
  • Once at Lohajung we get to spot the famous Nanda Ghunti peak.
  • The village is the pivotal point of 15-16 small villages. We can purchase missed out items (if any) from a couple of stores around.
  • We will undergo the registration process at 5 PM followed by the briefing for the trek at 6 PM leading to the distribution of items like Rucksack, Gaiters, Microspikes, and Trekking sticks.
  • Overnight at Lohajung base camp.

Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal (Khopdalia) | 7,600 ft - 9,700 ft | 6 km | 5 hrs

  • The trek commences from Lohajung chowk and goes via Mandoli village. As we climb further up the views of Kali valley become vivid.
  • We halt for our lunch break at Begum and capture the amazing views of Navali Bugyal and Bagdi Bugyal.
  • The trail from here enters thick Oak forests and keeps climbing moderately until we reach our campsite for the day, Khopdalia.
  • Bekaltal sits atop this camp. The lake is surrounded by thick clusters of Oak trees and brown by the virtue of the dense forest foliage available. In winter a thin layer of ice is formed on the lake.
  • Overnight stay at Khopdalia.

Day 3: Bekaltal to Brahmatal | 9,700 ft - 10,900 ft | 6 km | 5-6 hrs

  • We start the trek with a steep climb to Oak and Rhododendron forest with Bekaltal to our immediate right.
  • After an hour the trek leads to a flat meadow offering a spectacular panorama of Mt Trishul and Mt Nanda Ghunti with their associated ranges. One can also spot the Roopkund trail from here.
  • After an hour hike from here, we arrive at Jhandi Top which offers an even better view of the mountain range.
  • The trail from Jhandi Top to Brahmatal is a gradual descent and takes around an hour to reach. The campsite of Brahmatal lies 500 meters away from the lake which we will traverse the next day.
  • Overnight stay at Brahmatal campsite. 

Day 4:  Brahmatal to Khorurai via Brahmatal Top | 10,900 ft - 11,200 ft via 12,250 ft | 7 km | 7 hrs

  • We start the day early to soak in the weather conditions. Traverse the snow-covered grassland to reach Brahmatal lake via a 10 minutes trek from Brahmatal campsite.
  • The lake sits in the middle of grassland and offers a very scenic view with a thin layer of ice formed atop.
  • From Brahmatal, we take the trail to the left and climb up to traverse the pass and descend to Khorurai, the camp for the day.
  • Once on the top of the ridge, spot the majestic views of Mt Trishul and Mt Nanda Ghunti.
  • Furthermore, the descent to Khorurai offers great views of the Mountains such as Chaukhambha, Mandi, Mana, Nilgiri, Neelkanth, and Maitoli.

Day 5: Khorurai to Lohajung | 11,200 ft - 7,600 ft | 6 km | 5-6 hrs

  • We go for an easy descent to Lohajung through Oak and Rhododendron forest with two small streams in between to traverse.
  • It takes around 3 hours to reach the base camp at Lohajung.
  • Departure at 1 PM.
  • You can also travel to Haridwar/Kathgodam today. Cabs are available on request.

  • Stay is provided on a triple sharing basis in Alpine Tents & is separate for men and women.
  • Toilet tents are available at all the campsites.

Cloakroom:

  • Participants have the facility for depositing their extra luggage at base camp for all the treks.

  • Treks are led by a team of certified leaders.
  • Leaders to Participant ratio is 8:1 for easy to moderate & for difficult 4:1

Documents required:

The following are a compulsion for all the members during the registration at base camp.

Important COVID-19 Guidelines


  • Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, everyone will be tested for body temperature daily.
  • Please maintain sufficient distance while using the common area
  • Always sanitize your hands before using any common area amenities
  • Regular sanitization of the property will be done at regular intervals to ensure safety and hygiene.
  • Keep wearing your mask while traveling nearby.

Cancellation Policy


  • Cancellation initiated before 0-15 days of the event date is non-refundable.
  • For cancellation initiated within 15 days of booking the Trek, only 2000 INR per pax will be the cancellation charge and the rest will be refunded.
