1. Namgyal Monastery

Take the time to put the camera away and gaze in wonder at what’s there in front of you. Namgyal Monastry is one of the most popular places to visit in Dharamshala. Vibrant monasteries and spiritual vibes of this place pulls crowd around the year.

Timings: The monastery opens from 6am to 7pm.

There is no entry fee.

2. Kareri Dal Lake

At an elevation of 1775m, Kareri Dal Lake has become an attraction for lot of travelers. This is also a site for base camp for trekkers. Before going for trekking in dharamshala ,

The spell bound beauty of this river increases with these deodar vegetation and snow capped mountain around the lake. This view will force you to turn around and enjoy it thoroughly.

3. Bhagsunag Waterfalls

If you are not very fond of going to Bhagsunag Temple, you can try this beautiful fall which is a few kilometers upslope from the temple. Take a dip in the chilled fresh water to refresh your mind and soul. This spot is popular for picnic parties and local cafes.

4. Kangra Fort

“Fort between mountains “sounds like a perfect place to sit and contemplate the architecture and history of that fort. It is an ancient structure from 4th century BC and the largest fort in the Himalyas. With the magnificent view of Manjhi and Banganga River, Kangra fort is one of the most popular tourist places in Dharamshala.

The entry fee is INR 150 per person for Indians and INR 300 per person for foreigners.
